Ilkley is situated in beautiful Wharfedale in the Southern Dales. It is an historic spa town and a former winner of Britain in Bloom. Ilkley has a wide range of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes plus the famous Betty's Tea Shop, with the River Wharfe flowing through the centre of the town. There is so much to see and do in the local area. Calendar Girls was filmed on location nearby and there are lots of lovely walks. Bolton Abbey and Haworth are close to Ilkley and the Emmerdale set is close by at Harewood House. The 76-mile Dales Way passes close to Denton View before rising through Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, over the Pennines, and into Bowness on Windermere.
